Ospreys and Wales rugby internationals Brent Cockbain, Ryan Jones and Lee Byrne joined forces with Saundersfoot Festivities in the promotion campaign for the 2008 Saundersfoot New Year’s Day Swim. They have been captured wearing their New Year’s Day Swim polo shirts and will be seen regularly throughout the county on the rear of a Silcox bus.

Brent Cockbain has previously been a beneficiary of the charity event. The charity TLC Foundation, which was set up in memory of Brent’s son Toby Lloyd Cockbain, received a cheque for £400 following the 2006 swim.

The planning for next year’s swim is well underway and local businesses have been quick in coming forward to support the event, namely: Oakwood, Powells Cottage Holidays, Sands Nightclub, Pembrokeshire Fincancial Services, Neil Finlay Cars and Sign Box.
